A MUST for Breastfeeders, May 3, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: American Baby Company Organic Waterproof Quilted Lap and Burp Pad Cover, 2 Pack (Baby Product) I would use these to breastfeed laying down with my baby on the bed or on the couch or wherever I didn't want to leak or have my baby spit up and stain. Once she got older I'd take them with me to restaurants and put them on my lap for my baby to sit on while I'd eat. They're also good for laying your baby's head on so when she'd drool or spit up it would catch it. The organic ones are WAY better than the regular cotton ones. It's thicker and softer plus more durable in the wash. Even the backing part was better quality. It's worth spending the extra money and buying less of these than buying more of the regular cotton ones. Probably end up spending the same amount of money because you'd have to replace the regular cotton ones sooner.

So I purchased these, which come 2 in a pack, and they machine wash and dry well and are much softer than any of the other pads I own (I have several brands/types). They will not fully cover a crib or pack n play (maybe a moses bassinet) as they aren't so large, but would do the trick for a changing table or to put under your baby when they are in the swing or bouncer to catch any diaper leaks or spit ups. Expensive, but I think worth it since they are so much nicer against the gentle baby skin.

I bought them to place on top of my changing pad cover so I wouldn't have to wash as often. I was surprised that they are NOT white but a cream color. Not a huge deal but I was expecting them to be white like the picture. Also the first time I washed them they shrank almost half the size. I washed in cold water and dried on low/delicate cycle. It seems like a lot of work to have to hang dry these. We will end up still using them however in the future I will likely just purchase the non organic cotton pads from American Baby.
