I wanted something that worked, but didn't want to pay a fortune for it. I've had several pads that either weren't really waterproof, fell apart after only one wash, etc. Anyway, decided to try this one out. I bought it from LinenSpa, but fulfilled by Amazon so that I could get the free shipping ( LinenSpa Mattress Protector Deep Pocket 100% Waterproof & Dust Mite Protection, QUEEN). First off, for those of you wondering who manufacturers the pad ... it's Undercovers by MALOUF (malouffinelinens). Second, don't think you are getting a GREAT deal (a deal, but not a GREAT deal) ... this is no where near a $100+ mattress pad. Third, I'm not sure how much of a dust or mite barrier the pad really is since it only covers the top part of the mattress. The pad does appear that... Read more

It is NOT a mattress pad; don't assume you are getting cushioning. We have had two occasions to test it's waterproof quality, and it passed. Note that we caught the 'accident' after a couple of hours of being wet, there was only a couple of hours of 'soaking' time. It fits well, quite big enough for extra thick mattress. This is the second one I purchased.

The material may appear a little thin but for the price and the 15 year warranty I think it's worth it. Also, I was afraid i would be able to feel it or hear it and I can't even tell it's there! It's a great deal. I have bad allergies which is why I purchased it. It's been a few weeks and I can't notice a great difference but I also change my sheets frequently. May not be as effective as promised for allergies.
